Dear KIPP Texas Families,
While last week was an emotional and an incredibly troubling week for us as a country, I have been encouraged by our KIPPsters’ strength, courage, and tenacity. Last week, we created brave spaces to talk about and process the insurrection and persistent racism in our country. KIPPsters learned valuable lessons about democracy, the government, the importance of advocacy, antiracism, and what it will take to build a better tomorrow and a more just world for us all. We know these are some of the most important lessons they will learn.
Re-Enrollment Launches TODAY – January 11, 2021
We can’t wait to have your KIPPster continue their educational journey with us next year! KIPP Texas Public Schools is pleased to announce Student Re-Enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year will open on SchoolMint today. All current KIPP families will receive an email today, January 11, via SchoolMint, to notify how to log on and start the process.

For all families with KIPPsters currently in Pre-K4 through 11 grade, the Re-Enrollment forms need to be completed by January 31. For students currently in Pre-K3, the forms will be available from April 1 – April 23, due to TEA guidelines.

Procedures for Symptomatic, Exposed, or COVID-Positive KIPPsters
If your child is sick or showing any COVID-19 symptoms listed in the Daily Health Self Assessment Checklist, they must stay home and fail the wellness survey.
If your child, anyone in your household, or a close contact tests positive for COVID, please notify your child’s school immediately in addition to failing the wellness survey and seek medical attention as appropriate. Your early notification of symptomatic and positive individuals allows us to make the appropriate decisions to keep all of our KIPPsters safe.
