Jose C. Bolivar joined education as a Teach for America 2014 Denver Corps member. He started his career teaching 2nd grade in Montebello, east side of Denver. After Teach for America, Jose continued his career by joining KIPP Houston High School. At KIPP he has taught Composition 10, Composition 11, Minority Studies and now at his current role of College Counselor and Grade Level Chair.  He has served as a Cycling Team Coach, Chess Club Advisor, Gay-Straight Club Advisor, LGBTQ Faculty Liaison, and Summer School Coordinator.
