KIPP Texas Named Among Top Texas Charter Elementary and Middle Schools

For the first time ever, U.S. News & World Report has ranked the best performing elementary and middle schools in the country, and we are so proud that KIPP Texas schools received the recognition they deserve. On this inaugural list, 19 of our schools were named among the best in the state, and five of our elementary schools and four of our middle schools were ranked among the top 10 charter schools in their cities!

This year, 102,610 pre-K, elementary, and middle schools across the country were evaluated on student performance in mathematics and reading/ and language arts. The U.S. Department of Education-sourced data was from the 2018-2019 academic year and preceded the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact.

KIPP Shine Prep: Named #2 charter elementary school in Houston!
KIPP Sharp Prep: Named #3 charter elementary school in Houston!
KIPP Explore Academy: Named #8 charter elementary school in Houston!
KIPP Connect Primary: Named #10 charter elementary school in Houston!

KIPP Connect Middle School: 9th highest ranked middle school in Houston!
KIPP Austin College Prep: 4th highest ranked charter middle school in Austin!
KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters: 5th highest ranked charter middle school in Austin!
KIPP Austin Beacon Prep: 8th highest ranked charter middle school in Austin.
