KIPP Texas Dallas-Fort Worth Team and Family: A temporary restraining order was granted in Dallas County Court against Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order banning mask mandates in Texas schools. As a result, Dallas County officials have issued a health directive requiring that child care centers, Pre-K-12 public schools, and commercial entities develop a health and safety policy that must require, at a minimum, universal indoor masking. Effective August 11 at 11:59 p.m. (today), all individuals inside any of our KIPP Texas Dallas-Fort Worth buildings or offices, regardless of vaccine status, will be required to wear a mask at all times.
