Pride Month has its roots in the Stonewall Riots of 1969, a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. Over the years, the LGBTQ+ community has made significant strides toward equality, and Pride Month serves as a reminder of these hard-fought victories. It’s a time to reflect on the progress made and recognize the work that still needs to be done.
At KIPP Texas, we honor the trailblazers who have paved the way for greater acceptance and rights for the LGBTQ+ community.
