Mission Statement

The mission of the KIPP Texas Athletic Department is to develop scholar-athletes committed to the relentless pursuit of the best version of themselves. In chasing excellence, we are determined to create opportunities that allow scholar-athletes and their families to live choice-filled lives.

Vision Statement

We will persist with the purpose of bridging the gap between academics and athletics through intentional program development and by leveraging strategic community partnerships. We will show up emphatically and daily. We will grow, learn, and compete consistently.

Student-athletes living out the KIPP Texas core values will:

  • Maintain academic eligibility by passing every class with a 70 or above.
  • Represent themselves, their families, and their program well by being on time to school
    and class daily.

    integrity & grit.
  • Respect facilities, equipment, school resources, and the well-being and safety of all
    KIPPsters.

League Affiliation

All high schools and middle schools participate in Texas Charter School Academic & Athletic League (TCSAAL) and Honor Charter Athletic League (HCAL). All Campus Athletic Directors, coaches, and student-athletes will be held accountable for all policies and procedures as outlined in the TCSAAL Handbook. KIPP primary schools will participate in the KIPP Primary Athletic League (KPAL), which offers soccer (fall),and basketball (winter).
