What we do during a time of crisis matters, and it especially matters for the children at KIPP. One critical way to support is by making a donation to the COVID-19 & Beyond Fund. This fund will help cover some of the immediate needs of our KIPPsters, families, alumni, and staff who are impacted by loss of income due to COVID-19. One hundred percent of the funds raised will provide direct aid to KIPP families in dire need of assistance with no administrative cost.
To date, KIPP Texas has distributed over 3,100 electronic gift cards to help families meet their immediate needs during Phase 1 of the effort.
In Phase 2, KIPP Texas will formalize a Family Emergency Fund policy that will be supporting many of our families with financial support after careful case management.
In Phase 3, we will shift to the “Beyond COVID-19” priorities that will have the largest impact on the student learning and will use funds raised for the 2020-21 school year.
Thank you so much for your supporting our KIPPsters during this challenging time!
"Gracias por todo el esfuerzo que están haciendo. Cuídense mucho por que me imagino que también tienen una familia qué proteger, algunos de ustedes. Atentamente. Fam Ramírez."
("Thanks for all the effort that you are doing. Take good care of yourselves because I imagine that some of you also have a family to take care of. Best regards, the Ramírez family. ")
"It was fun to see some of the teachers. My kids were even happier when they saw their teachers also."

"Thank you so much for doing this. This is the only time my kids get to go out in the car for a bit (to break the monotony of being home) and they are so excited to go even if it’s just a few minutes. They love getting their bags and seeing what’s on the menu today. Sincerely what you do brings so much joy to my kiddos and is such a kind gesture. Bless you all for being there rain or shine."
