In partnership with the Relay Graduate School of Education, our residents receive a Master’s in Teaching along with Texas certification. What does the application process look like with KIPP Texas?

Step 1: Online Application
All applications must be submitted online. For School Support Partners (SSP) roles click here. For all school-based roles, click here. Use the location filter to search by location of interest.

Step 2: Initial Interview
Applicants who move forward will be invited to an initial interview (phone or pre-recorded video) by a member of our recruitment team.

Step 3: Final Interview
Applicants who move forward from the initial interview will be invited for a final interview at one of our KIPP Texas schools or Hiring Manager for non school based roles. While each school’s selection process varies slightly, you should expect to complete a final interview with leaders of the school and that you will need to conduct a sample lesson.

We are currently conducting all final interviews virtually and will continue to do so until such time that it is safe to resume travel.

Step 4: Offer Notification
Applicants who complete a final interview will be notified of their status and those selected will receive an offer to officially join the KIPP Texas Team & Family.

Earn Your Masters in Teaching: The KIPP Texas Relay Residency (Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio) is a prestigious paid two-year program provides a unique opportunity for aspiring teachers to learn alongside mentor teachers during their first year. Residents gradually take on more instructional responsibilities before stepping into the classroom full-time their second year in the program.
