KIPP Texas Schools Named Among Best in the US by US News & World Report

Yesterday, US News & World Report released its annual list of Best High Schools in the nation. These rankings, based on the results of the Class of 2019, evaluate over 24,000 public high schools across the country looking at six factors: college readiness, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rate. Because these results are based on the Class of 2019, not all of our high schools were eligible due to them not having a graduating class that year.

We are excited to announce that six KIPP Texas Schools have been named among the best! Huge shout out to:

  • KIPP Austin Collegiate is ranked the 96th best high school in Texas!
    • KIPP Austin Collegiate is the 8th highest ranked high school in Austin!
  • KIPP Houston High School is ranked the 117th best high school in Texas.
    • KIPP Houston High School is the 31st highest ranked high school in Houston!
  • KIPP University Prep High School is ranked the 130th best high school in Texas!
    • KIPP University Prep High School is the 11th highest ranked high school in San Antonio!
  • KIPP Generations Collegiate is ranked the 154th best high school in Texas!
  • KIPP Northeast College Preparatory is ranked the 292nd best high school in Texas!

KIPP Texas relentlessly pursues preparing all students for success in college, leadership, and life. Recognition such as this shows how we chase excellence and persist with purpose. This, of course, wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication of our KIPPsters, Big and Little, and their families.
