Emily Thompson – Foley serves as a College Access Advisor for KIPP Through College: Houston. In this role, she is responsible for mentoring students, explaining career and course paths, and identifying at-risk students. Before joining KIPP Texas Public Schools, Ms. Thompson – Foley was involved in the implementation of student caseloads for academic departments via proprietary for academic advising software. Also, she advised first-year and transfer students based on their academic audits and career pursuits at the University of New Mexico. As former first-gen, she has earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of New Mexico as well.
