Offering athletics in schools is essential for fostering physical health and well-being among students, promoting an active lifestyle from an early age. Beyond fitness, sports teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, shaping well-rounded individuals prepared for challenges. We offer Volleyball, Girls’ Basketball, Boys’ Basketball, Boys’ Soccer, Girls’ Soccer, Cheer, and Dance.
KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters offers all students a rigorous academic curriculum, creative fine arts classes, and engaging physical education courses. In each lesson, students are equipped with the skills and habits to prepare them for high school and college success.
KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters offers after-school organizations, including Film Club, Art Club, Girls Who Code, and Student Council.
Jamie Holley is the principal at KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters. Before serving as principal, she was an assistant principal for four years and a 5th-grade teacher for five years. Jamie served as the grade-level chair for two years during her five years of teaching. She joined the Arts & Letters team in 2009 as a founding teacher when the school welcomed its first class of students.Before joining KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters, Ms. Holley lived overseas, teaching English to college students in Asia. Jamie received her B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University. Jamie enjoys spending time with her dog Lizzie, watching A&M football, reading great books, and connecting with family and friends. She is a proud native Austinite and enjoys exploring her hometown.
