KIPP SHARP Prep

Ms. Castillo brings over 13 years of experience at KIPP SHARP, where she has grown as an educator and leader alongside the school community. She began her journey as a teacher assistant and went on to serve as a lead kindergarten teacher, Dean of Instruction, Assistant Principal, and most recently, Principal in Residence. This deep connection to the school gives her a strong understanding of what makes KIPP SHARP special and what it takes to help students succeed.

Throughout her time at KIPP SHARP, Ms. Castillo has been committed to building a school culture grounded in high expectations, strong relationships, and joyful learning. She is especially passionate about early literacy and believes every child can achieve at high levels with the right support. She has led efforts to strengthen reading instruction by focusing on key skills and using student data to ensure every child grows. Her leadership has contributed to strong outcomes for students, including increased reading proficiency and consistent academic growth across grade levels.
As a leader, Ms. Castillo prioritizes clear communication, trust, and collaboration. She works closely with teachers to ensure strong instruction in every classroom and believes families are essential partners in student success. She is committed to making sure all students feel seen, supported, and challenged every day.
