KIPP Somos Primary

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Mrs. Cormack is a first-generation American and the first in her family to graduate from college—a reflection of the power of education and perseverance. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Florida. Mrs. Cormack began her career in education as a Teach For America corps member in the Rio Grande Valley, where her commitment to educational equity was ignited. Over the past 11 years, she has served as a dedicated educator and leader—this year marks her 12th year in education and her 5th as an administrator.

As a founding teacher at KIPP Somos Collegiate, Mrs. Cormack helped shape the culture and academic foundation of a school committed to excellence and joy. She brings this same passion and vision to KIPP Somos Primary, where she believes deeply that all students deserve access to rigorous, loving classrooms that prepare them for a college-bound future. Mrs. Cormack is committed to creating a joyful, inclusive, and achievement-driven environment where every student feels loved, known, and proud to be a Somos Cub.
