KIPP Somos Primary

KIPP Somos Primary offers a safe and positive learning environment where joy and academic excellence are at the core of our curriculum. Focusing on character has been the cornerstone of KIPP Texas since we began and is still the essence of what we believe: to succeed in the world beyond, KIPPsters need a solid academic foundation and well-developed character strengths. They’re deeply interconnected, and we never compromise one for the other.

At KIPP Somos Primary, we use various methods for measuring student learning and growth. Throughout the school year, KIPP Texas students complete assessments designed to help us know how they are doing and how we can best help them expand their learning. Formal and informal assessments are used to inform instruction and ensure student needs are addressed. Families receive the results of assessments throughout the year and can discuss the results and student progress with teachers during regularly scheduled conferences.

We offer a variety of extracurricular activities, including sports and clubs. Our academic and extracurricular programs provide students with a well-rounded educational experience.
