Ms. Scott is proud to serve as the School Leader of KIPP Unity Primary, bringing over 13 years of experience in education and a deep commitment to student success within KIPP Texas – Houston. Her career began as a teacher assistant and has included roles as a lead teacher, reading interventionist, instructional leader, dean, assistant principal, and interim principal. She has also been a Principal in Residence at KIPP Unity and KIPP ZENITH.  Each of these experiences has shaped her leadership approach and prepared her to guide KIPP Unity with empathy, innovation, and a relentless focus on excellence.

Throughout her career, Ms. Scott has been dedicated to fostering high-achieving school cultures where all students feel seen, supported, and challenged. Her leadership philosophy emphasizes collaboration, continuous growth, and forward-thinking strategies that prioritize instructional excellence, social-emotional development, and equity for every learner.

At KIPP Unity Primary, Ms. Scott’s vision is to build a thriving learning community where staff, students, and families partner to ensure every child reaches their full potential. She is committed to transparent communication, celebrating differences, and cultivating strong school-family partnerships that honor KIPP Unity’s legacy of excellence while preparing students for the future.
