KIPP University Prep High School

KIPP University Prep is a school of excellence where all are devoted to the goal of every student going to and through college. We teach the whole student – mind, character, and body – because we equip leaders who will command their futures and serve their communities. We know that when each of us personally commits to leaving a place better than we found it, we will build a more just world.

Offering athletics in schools is essential for fostering physical health and well-being among students, promoting an active lifestyle from an early age. Beyond fitness, sports teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, shaping well-rounded individuals prepared for challenges. We offer volleyball, track, soccer, flag football, softball, baseball, and cheerleading.

At KIPP University Prep High School, we use various methods for measuring student learning and growth. Throughout the school year, KIPPsters complete assessments to help us know how they are doing and how we can best help them expand their learning. Advanced Placement classes are available for all students beginning in 9th grade.

KIPP University Prep High School has earned recognition as one of Texas’ top-performing public charter high schools by the U.S. News & World Report. In San Antonio’s public charter high school landscape, KIPP U-Prep is the 15th highest-ranked charter high school, a testament to the dedication and excellence of our school community.
