KIPP Texas Together: November Family Newsletter

A Message from the ceo

KIPP employee

KIPP Texas Families,

Today is special as we have the pleasure of connecting with you for Family Conference Day to celebrate and share the progress of our Little KIPPsters. Each school offers family conferences today because we want to continue building relationships with you and share resources to support your KIPPsters’ continuous growth.  We look forward to seeing you today!

With two months remaining this calendar year, we continue to make every minute count as we prepare our Little KIPPsters for Interim Assessment (IA1) testing in December. It is an exciting opportunity for our Little KIPPsters to show what they know at the end of semester 1 as we drive toward the first priority of our Multi-Year PlanAcademic Excellence.

Thank you, families, for continuing to partner with us. Each of our Little KIPPsters walks through our school doors bearing gifts, brilliance, and talent. We appreciate you entrusting us to continue teaching, leading, and supporting this school year and beyond.

With gratitude,

Sehba Ali

KIPP Texas CEO

KIPP Truth Academy Launches Graphic Design & Media Pathway

KIPP Truth Academy introduced its new Graphic Design & Interactive Media pathway this school year, making an impressive debut with their school broadcast, “Now That’s The Truth.” This initiative provides Little KIPPsters with hands-on, real-world experience, allowing them to showcase their creativity and skills in AV Technology. Creating with Purpose: KIPP Austin Brave Artists at Work 🎨✨

Ms. Cassandre Connolly, a Master Teacher at KIPP Austin Brave High School, has connected students with the Austin community for seven years. This year, her ART 3 students are partnering with the Mexic-Arte Museum for a six-week printmaking workshop, where they’ll learn screen printing techniques and create original designs inspired by their identities and cultures. By printing these designs on t-shirts, students gain hands-on experience and form connections within Austin’s vibrant art scene. 🖌️🌟
