The halls of KIPP Texas Public Schools were once again filled with the vibrant energy of learning as we welcomed over 32,000 KIPPsters back to our 54 schools across Austin, Dallas – Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio for the 2024-25 school year. The first week celebrated new beginnings as our Little and Big KIPPsters reunited, ready to take on another year of learning.
This school year is especially significant as we celebrate KIPP’s 30th anniversary! For thirty years, KIPP Texas has educated thousands of students across the state and has prepared them for college, career, and beyond! As we mark this milestone, we reflect on our incredible journey, growing from a single classroom of 47 students to a network of schools serving thousands of students across Texas.
From the moment our doors opened, our schools were filled with excitement as KIPPsters reconnected with friends, met new classmates, and engaged in joyful learning. Whether it was a Pre-K KIPPster stepping into a classroom for the first time or a high school senior gearing up for their final year, the joy of learning was present in every smile and every classroom.
As always, our teachers and staff went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition back to school. They created welcoming spaces with thoughtful planning and dedication where every KIPPster felt valued and supported.
But the first week is just the beginning! As we continue to build on this joy, we want to remind our families and communities that we still have student spots available for the 2024-25 school year. It’s not too late to join the KIPP Texas team and family and be part of a community!
As we look ahead to the rest of the school year, we remain committed to providing a safe, supportive, and high-quality education for all our KIPPsters. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead, filled with learning, growth, and success!
