KIPP Texas student applications for the 2026-27 school year open on Wednesday, October 1, for grades Pre-K – 12! We are committed to providing a joyful, high-quality educational experience that prepares students for success in college, career, and beyond across more than 45 schools in Austin, Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and San Antonio. Our KIPP Forward program is designed to help our KIPPsters go to and through college and lead a choice-filled life. KIPP Forward counselors work with Little KIPPsters starting in their junior year in high school to select the right classes, fill out the FAFSA and other college scholarship forms, prepare to take college entrance exams such as the ACT, and support them as they prepare for and select the right college and career based on their interests and passions. After high school, KIPP Texas advisors help alumni navigate the academic, social, and financial challenges they might encounter while in college or pursuing a career.

1. Visit Our Website: Visit kipptexas.org/apply to access the application form and learn more about our schools.
2. Complete the Application: Fill out the online application form with accurate and relevant information for each of your school-aged children. Be sure to provide any necessary documentation to support your application. Applications are accepted all year. We highly encourage applicants to apply by the lottery application deadline on January 26, 2026 for the best chance at receiving an open seat at the school of your choice.
Our student lottery will be held on February 2, 2026 to determine each student’s enrollment status at their KIPP Texas school. We will extend admission offers starting on February 2.
If you have another child attending KIPP Texas, please click “Yes” for the “I have another child attending this charter school” option when you apply in SchoolMint. Please provide the name of the sibling who is currently attending KIPP Texas.

5. Schedule a School Tour: Starting in October, schedule a school tour to learn more about our schools. During this tour, you will visit classrooms and facilities, meet with school staff, learn more about the overall student and family experience, and so much more! Schedule your school tour beginning October 1!
If your student is entering Kindergarten through 12th grade and is extended an offer on Lottery Day, February 2, you may start the registration packet immediately for the 2026-27 school year. Registration for Pre-K students begins on April 1.
Students not selected to attend KIPP Texas after the student lottery will be placed on a waitlist in the order the application was received. Don’t worry, though! If a spot becomes available, students on the waitlist will be given an offer, and parents will be notified and informed of the next steps. Any application received after the January 26 application deadline will be placed on the waitlist in the order it was received. KIPP Texas will continue to extend admissions offers through the start of the 2026-27 school year.
