Ways to Make the Most of Spring Break:
Plan a Field Trip
Take advantage of the break to visit new places and make learning fun! Explore museums, science centers, or even the zoo. After your visit, visit the library to find books that interest your KIPPster the most.
Here are a few suggestions:
- Austin: Thinkery
- Dallas: Perot Museum of Nature and Science
- Houston: Children’s Museum Houston
- San Antonio: The DoSeum
Read Every Day
One of the best ways to keep learning going is through reading! Visit your local library or bookstore and encourage your Little KIPPster to explore different genres. Ask them about their favorite characters and discuss the stories together.

Spring Break is a great time to explore new hobbies! Get creative with arts and crafts, music, or even acting out a play in your living room. Cooking is another fun way to build math and reading skills—have your Little KIPPster help plan a meal, create a grocery list, and measure ingredients.
Take a Family Trip
Traveling during the break? Turn it into a learning adventure! Read about the history of your destination, visit landmarks, and encourage your child to keep a travel journal. While on the road, play trivia games or work on academic puzzles together.
