We are excited to announce that, starting October 1, we will begin accepting applications to fill the seats for Pre-K – 12 for the 2025-2026 school year.
Our 54 schools are located in Austin, Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and San Antonio. Learn more about each region’s schools here:
At KIPP Texas, it is our critical belief that the most valuable educational experience for any student comes from caring for the “whole child” – their academics, their well-being, their unique gifts, their joy, their safety, their entire family, and their unique needs and experiences. Our schools provide a safe and positive learning environment where excellence, equity, and empathy are at the core of the student experience. Our high-quality teachers and leaders are committed to dramatically and rapidly improving student achievement outcomes and ensuring students are growing academically. KIPP Texas teachers are equipped to teach the highest leverage skills and standards so our KIPPsters are prepared and on the path to college from an early age.
Our KIPP Forward program is designed to help our KIPPsters go to and through college and lead a choice-filled life. KIPP Forward counselors work with Little KIPPsters starting in their junior year in high school to select the right classes, fill out the FAFSA and other college scholarship forms, prepare to take college entrance exams such as the ACT, and support them as they prepare for and select the right college and career based on their interests and passions. After high school, KIPP Texas advisors help alumni navigate the academic, social, and financial challenges they might encounter while in college or pursuing a career.
Here’s how you can apply:
1. Visit Our Website: Visit our official website at www.kipptexas.org/apply to access the application form and learn more about our schools.
2. Complete the Application: Fill out the online application form with accurate and relevant information. Be sure to provide any necessary documentation to support your application. Applications are accepted all year. However, applications are due by January 27, 2025, to participate in the student lottery.
A lottery will be held on February 3, 2025, to determine which students will be offered available seats at each KIPP Texas school. We will extend admission offers starting on February 3.
If you have another child attending KIPP, please click “Yes” for the “I have another child attending this charter school” option when you apply in SchoolMint. Please provide the name of the sibling who is currently attending KIPP Texas.

4. Stay Updated: Check your email for updates regarding the status of your application and any additional information you may need. To receive updates from KIPP Texas, follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
5. Schedule a School Tour: Starting in October, be sure to schedule a school tour to learn more about our schools. During this tour, you will visit classrooms and facilities, meet with school staff, learn more about the overall student and family experience, and so much more! If your student is entering kindergarten through 12th grade and is extended an offer on Lottery Day, February 3, you may start the registration packet immediately for the 2025-26 school year. Registration for Pre-K students begins on April 1.
Students not selected to attend KIPP Texas through the lottery will be placed on a waitlist in a randomly determined order. Don’t worry, though! If a spot becomes available, students will be selected from the waitlist, and parents will be notified and informed of the next steps. Any application received after February 3 will be placed on the waitlist in the order it was received. KIPP Texas will continue to extend admissions offers through the start of the 2025-26 school year.
