At KIPP Austin Brave, we foster a school community dedicated to personal growth, resilience, and continuous improvement. Meet Your School Leader

Alexis Hopper

Alexis Hopper is the proud Interim School Leader of KIPP Austin Brave High School. Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, she has dedicated her career to ensuring all students have access to an excellent education. Before coming to KIPP Texas, she taught math, humanities, and AP Psychology, while also coaching varsity women’s volleyball and men’s lacrosse.

Since joining KIPP Texas in 2020, Ms. Hopper has served as Dean, Assistant Principal of Instruction, and PIR before stepping into the role of Interim School Leader. Her experience across middle and high school has given her a strong vision for helping students succeed from 5th grade through graduation. She is deeply committed to partnering with families, affirming students’ identities, and creating a safe and brave school culture where every student is seen, valued, and prepared for the path they choose after high school.

Outside of her professional work, Ms. Hopper is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and holds a master’s degree in Public Administration. She leads with the belief that every child deserves a champion—someone who listens, supports, and empowers them to achieve their goals.
