KIPP Academy Middle

KIPP Academy started in 1994. As the original KIPP school, KIPP Academy focuses on appreciation, patience, humility, standing up for justice, and doing the right thing.

KIPP Academy is committed to providing justice and equity for all, and our thematic units, capstone projects, literature circles, community circles, restorative justice practices, differentiated extension blocks, and student government are just a few ways we make sure we turn this commitment into action.

Offering athletics in schools is essential for fostering physical health and well-being among students, promoting an active lifestyle from an early age. Beyond fitness, sports teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, shaping well-rounded individuals prepared for challenges. We offer volleyball, cross country, soccer, basketball, dance, softball, baseball, and track.

KIPP Academy believes deeply in a culture of Joy and Excellence for students and staff. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, rigorous instruction to engage students daily and show them their successes so they feel great about their progress. We take time each week to celebrate students in team meetings, and monthly we host a school-wide Songfest to bring the energy through House Competitions, singing songs, and showcasing student achievements.

Our KIPPsters can be members of several teams and clubs, including Robotics, Black Student Union, Hispanic Or LatinX Association, and Athletics.
