KIPP Texas Families,
Spring is in full bloom, and with it comes an important milestone for our Little KIPPsters—STAAR testing! Next week, students in grades 3-8 will take their Reading/Language Arts assessments, while high schoolers will tackle English I and II. Later this month, our high school students will also take AP exams.
Our teachers and students have been working incredibly hard all year, and now it’s their time to shine! Every lesson and every moment of preparation has led to this, and we are so proud of their dedication and perseverance. As they step into testing, let’s remind them of their strengths, encourage their confidence, and assure them that we believe in them.
STAAR is an important measure of academic growth, and it helps us ensure that our students receive excellent and joyful instruction. Thank you for your continued support and partnership—together, we can make this testing season one of celebration, achievement, and success.

Measles Awareness & Prevention
The safety of our Little KIPPsters is our top priority. While there are no reported measles cases at any of our schools, we want to keep our families informed. Measles is highly contagious, and early symptoms include fever, cough, and a rash. If you suspect your child has measles, please keep them home and contact your healthcare provider.
The best protection is the MMR vaccine, which Texas law requires for school attendance. Stay informed and help us keep our schools safe!
