The Texas Public Information Act

The Texas Public Information Act (TPIA) gives the public the right to request access to government records. All government information is presumed to be available to the public, though certain exceptions may apply to disclosing the information. The request must ask for information already in existence and does not require KIPP Texas Public Schools to create new information, perform legal searches, or answer general questions.

To Request Information

Before submitting a public information request, please use the KIPP Texas Public Schools website, as the information you seek may be available online.

All requests must be in writing. Requests may be delivered in three ways:

  1. Delivered by email;
  2. Delivered by mail; or
  3. Delivered in person.
