About KIPP Texas’ Growth
Every day across the state of Texas, children who confront barriers to opportunity attend schools that do not prepare them to succeed. The Rise Together Campaign was our response to the overwhelming demand to provide more students with the opportunity they deserve to attain an exemplary education. Through this bold plan, we:
- Added 16,000 new seats across the state
- Invested in what makes us better – Pre-K for All, Talented Leaders, and KIPP Forward
- Tripled the number of KIPP Texas college-ready high school graduates
We are so excited to share that we have successfully met our fundraising goal of $85 million for the Rise Together Campaign, one year ahead of schedule!

Looking Ahead | Together with Communities
With the end successful close of the Rise Together Campaign, we now turn our sights to the next phase of KIPP Texas’s growth and are charged to do so alongside families and communities in alignment with our mission, calling our next phase of growth Together with Communities. Through the upcoming campaign, we will focus on district partnerships, new and adjacent regions, and deepening regional impact.
District Partnerships
We will prove the possible that school systems in Texas can do more when working together to educate students. Traditional districts receive financial incentives from the state for partnerships. Charters are paid a fee for educating students in the partnership school and do not need to provide facility or some operational funding needs.
New and Adjacent Regions
We will explore opening new schools in adjacent and new regions across Texas to expand our impact to students outside of the current four regions and move us towards our long-term ambition of 100,000 KIPPsters across the state.
Deepening Regional Impact
To ensure all KIPPsters across the state have access to high-quality school from pre-k 3 to 12th grade, we aim to complete outstanding feeder patterns in current regions, generally by opening high schools, opening new feeder patterns in current regions with high demand, and modular-to-permanent building projects.

Pre-K for All
Research shows that high-quality, full-day pre-K has significant, positive effects on school readiness, academic achievement, and high school graduation rates. Data illustrates that students who attend Pre-K at KIPP Texas have improved outcomes in kindergarten and 2nd grade compared to students who did not attend Pre-K at KIPP Texas. Because of the power of Pre-K to set students up for success in life, we are expanding to provide full-day Pre-K in all regions throughout KIPP Texas.
Talented Leaders at Every Level
We invest in leadership development and retention of our teachers and leaders through a dynamic pipeline. Our team engages in real-time training, coaching, and exciting career development opportunities to produce exceptional student outcomes. This investment ensures we always have extraordinary teachers and leaders for our growing number of schools.

A post-secondary education is the surest vehicle to a life of opportunity. KIPP Forward – the most extensive public school-based college support program in the country – supports alumni as they journey to and through college. We are extending our scope to ensure our students are fully equipped to pursue the paths they choose in college, career, and beyond.
