
Brandon Fried
Founding School Leader

Brandon Fried is proud to serve as the Founding School Leader of KIPP Paseo Primary. Before opening Paseo, he worked as an Assistant Principal at KIPP Austin Connections Elementary (KACE) for five years where he led the school’s math program, supported English and Spanish teachers and monitored school culture systems. During his time as an assistant principal at KACE, the school earned two academic distinctions in mathematics from the Texas Education Agency in 2018 and 2019.
Before becoming an assistant principal, Mr. Fried taught as a founding first and second-grade teacher and prior to joining KIPP, he served as a 2010 Teach For America corps member in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Fried holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from The University of Houston. Outside of school, Mr. Fried enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time outdoors with his husband, Jeff, and their beagle, Tucker.
