Meet Your School Leader
DeMesha Webster was born in Dover, Delaware, but her roots lie in Monroe, Louisiana. In 2001, she relocated to Dallas, Texas, to pursue her dreams of continuing her education. After eight years as a Texas resident, Demesha graduated with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Woman’s University. Shortly after graduation, she began her career as an educator in the Irving Independent School District, and after her 3rd year of teaching, she was named Teacher of the Year. At the same time, she was awarded a scholarship to earn her Master’s in Educational Leadership at Southern Methodist University and continued her education. With Irving ISD, her leadership titles included grade-level chairperson, administrative liaison, and academic interventionist.
In 2019, after 13 years of serving the Irving community, DeMesha synced her heartbeat with KIPP Texas, where she was an assistant principal of instruction at KIPP Pleasant Grove Primary and an associate principal of special populations and literacy at KIPP Truth Academy. Throughout her third year with KIPP Texas, she participated in the Striving School Leader Program and is excited to begin her first year as a school leader at KIPP Truth Elementary.
Outside of serving BIG and Little KIPPsters, Mrs. Webster enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband and four daughters.
