Celebrating Excellence: KIPP Texas Teachers Shine in Teacher Incentive Allotment Program

We are thrilled to announce and celebrate the exceptional teachers at KIPP Texas Public Schools who have been recognized through the Texas Education Agency’s Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program!  The TIA program is a state initiative aimed at rewarding and incentivizing effective teaching practices. Through TIA, teachers are eligible for an annual payment between $3,000 to $32,000.

This past year marked a significant expansion of our eligible teacher groups, encompassing a wide array of high-priority courses. New eligible teachers include, Kinder through 2nd Math and Reading, High School English 1 & 2, Algebra 1, as well as several AP courses such as English Language, Spanish Language, U.S. History, World History, and Statistics. Additionally, NBCT-designated teachers are also eligible, further showcasing our commitment to acknowledging excellence in teaching.

This year, we are thrilled to have over 170 teachers across KIPP Texas receive designations through the TIA program. This represents a remarkable achievement, with a little over 10% of our teaching force being recognized for their excellence in teaching.

This achievement extends beyond individual teachers, as it reflects the collective effort of our schools across the state. With over 100 teachers added and more than 40 schools having at least one designated teacher, the impact of our educators’ excellence is evident throughout our entire KIPP Texas community.

As we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our teachers through the TIA program, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering excellence in education and supporting our educators in their professional growth. Together, we continue to strive for excellence and positively impact the lives of our students across Texas.
