Offering athletics in schools is essential for fostering physical health and well-being among students, promoting an active lifestyle from an early age. Beyond fitness, sports teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, shaping well-rounded individuals prepared for challenges. We offer frisbee, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track.
At KIPP Austin College Prep, our learning starts with exploring our identity and culture. We are committed to ensuring our curriculum is culturally relevant and that our learning environment fosters the joy of discovery, promotes identity exploration, and emphasizes our identity development. Students challenge and are challenged. Students communicate effectively with their peers and teachers through collaboration, questioning each other, and engaging in rigorous discussion. KIPP Austin College Prep offers a rigorous, college-prep curriculum that aims for every student entering KIPP Austin Collegiate or KIPP Austin Brave with the necessary academic skills, intellectual habits, and character traits to succeed in high school and thrive in college.
KIPP Austin College Prep offers a variety of extracurriculars, some of which are built into the school day. In fifth grade, all students take music. In sixth grade, all students take visual art; in seventh and eighth grade, students can pick their specified fine art.
