Robin Nguyen
School Leader
At KIPP Austin Beacon Prep, our staff, students, and families work together to empower students to break barriers inside and outside the classroom. Our students excel academically while also developing the tools and skills to successfully navigate the world and challenge the status quo. Armed with the power of our collective story, identity, knowledge, and pride, our students are building a more equitable future for themselves and for those to come.
Ms. Robyn Nguyen has served as the school leader at KIPP Beacon Prep since the 2021-22 school year. Previously, she was an assistant principal of instruction at KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters (KAL) and was a KAL Green Jay for six years.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011, Robin started her educational career in New Orleans, where she taught 5th, 6th, and 7th grade math, science, and social studies at P.A. Capdau Charter School and KIPP Central City Academy. She moved back to Austin and was hired at KAL as a long-term sub before becoming a leadership fellow and finally an Assistant Principal.
Robin is deeply passionate about providing an equitable educational experience for ALL students, which includes high-quality academic instruction inside the classroom as well as access to a variety of extracurricular and enrichment opportunities outside of the classroom.
