My career in education began in the fall of 1999, and I have experience with a diverse group of students, staff, and families. I believe in being proactive to meet the needs of all stakeholders with strong intent to build positive relationships that allow me to balance the compassion and challenge needed for all of us to learn and grow together.
I am an innovative leader and a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. I attended Sam Houston State University and Prairie View A&M University, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (1999) and Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision (2006) respectively. I also have my Texas Principal certification. I am currently pursuing an Ed.D in Ethical Leadership from the University of Saint Thomas. I am also a published author in the National Forum of Teacher Education Journal.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, dancing, reading, and traveling.
