Abby Morton-Garland is the School Leader at KIPP University Prep. She graduated with honors from Baylor University in 2003 with a degree in History and Political Science. She holds a Masters in Educational Leadership from Trinity University. After an award-winning teaching career at schools in Guatemala, the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas, Ms. Morton-Garland moved back to her hometown of San Antonio in 2013. She became the School Leader at KIPP University Prep High School in July 2014 and has lead the school to become KIPP’s only International Baccalaureate World School, a program that provides open-enrollment access to the IB Diploma program. Students who earn the prestigious IB Diploma are legally entitled to 24 credit hours in Texas public universities.
