Congratulations, you and your Little KIPPster have made it to the end of another successful school year! I am so incredibly proud of the accomplishments of our KIPP Texas Team & Family. Together we Persisted with Purpose, all while Chasing Excellence. We finished the school year with so much joy! Despite the challenges of this year, our students have truly enjoyed a tremendous Little KIPPster experience from the beginning until the end!
Carter’s Kids and Chuck E Cheese Bring Joy to our Little KIPPsters
Carter’s Kids and Chuck E. Cheese partnered to build a wonderful playground for our KIPP Destiny Elementary School Little KIPPsters. It will Bring Joy for decades to come. Our partnerships with our communities are important to providing our KIPPsters with everything they deserve. I thank them from the bottom of my heart! Check out the highlight here.
KIPP Texas Community Partnerships
The KIPP Texas Community Partnership department seeks transformational support for our Little KIPPsters and their families by connecting them to neighborhood resources, family programs, and other services that inspire families to lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world. As we enter summer break, I want to share the new KIPP Texas Community Partnerships website to provide our families with connections to valuable resources in our communities.

KIPP Oak Cliff Academy Students meet with Bubba Wallace ahead of NASCAR All-Star Race
There is no better way to race into a summer vacation than with NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace! KIPP Oak Cliff Academy high school students made memories over the weekend of May 21 by visiting the Texas Motor Speedway to tour the track and watch the weekend’s race. They also met with the racecar driver to get more insight on NASCAR and what it means to be an influential public figure. One thing that stuck out to me during their chat was when Bubba Wallace told the students, “When we [race team] treat each other like family, we succeed.” At KIPP Texas, we Rise Together as a Team and Family, and I hope this sparked some inspiration for them as it did for me.
