What to Look Forward to This Semester…

KIPP Texas Families,

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! I hope you feel rejuvenated and inspired by the endless possibilities of a new year. I look forward to hearing from our KIPPsters what’s inspiring them and what they are looking forward to the most this calendar year. 2023, here we come!

We have so much ahead of us this semester as we uphold our sacred promises to KIPPsters. Here is a glimpse of some of what’s coming for KIPP Texas before the end of the school year:

Re-enrollment time for our current Little KIPPsters is January 9-31; we hope you will send your Pre-K -11th grade students back to KIPP Texas next school year! The re-enrollment process also allows us to determine how many of our students will return to KIPP next year and how many spots we can make available for new-to-KIPP students. You can preview the process here.
The Texas Legislative Session begins January 10 and ends May 29. I commit to sharing bi-weekly updates in my notes with you as well as ways you can support charter schools like KIPP.
Seeing our Little KIPPsters joyful and excited to come to school every day while preparing them to pursue any path they choose — college, career, and beyond — so they can lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world.

I look forward to seeing our Little KIPPsters return to school tomorrow, January 5. Every day of attendance matters. Unless they are ill, please send them to school every single day!
