KIPP Intrepid develops self-aware, self-directed, socially adept learners by providing an individualized learning environment, project-based learning experiences, and integrated character development. Our students have opportunities to practice and develop their academic and behavioral skills. They acquire the character needed to succeed in college and life by participating in thoughtfully designed learning. We understand that parents and community partners are crucial to the success of our students, and we welcome their active support and participation in the life of our school.
Offering athletics in schools is essential for fostering physical health and well-being among students, promoting an active lifestyle from an early age. Beyond fitness, sports teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, shaping well-rounded individuals prepared for challenges. We provide a variety of sports for our students to select from football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and softball.
At KIPP Intrepid our teachers provide opportunities for our students to build on their academic skills from year to year in each of our four core content areas: mathematics, English language arts, social studies, and science. As a way of meeting all of our learners’ needs, our teachers combine direct instruction and the use of technology. Through blended learning programs, our students are able to receive a more differentiated learning experience. In addition to instruction in the core subjects, our students take part in daily enrichment classes. They also have an opportunity to take part in various off-campus field lessons, including a culminating end-of-year field trip that includes visits to college campuses.
By participating in extracurricular activities, our students have opportunities to work together as a team and develop strong leadership and good sportsmanship skills in the process. In the past, extracurricular activities have included choir and dance, as well as after-school clubs.
