KIPP Peace Elementary

Jasmine Yarborough serves as the School Leader of KIPP Peace Elementary, bringing more than a decade of experience in public education and a deep belief in the transformative power of schooling. Throughout her career, she has built a strong track record in academic achievement, culture-building, and holistic student development—both academic and emotional.

A long-time Big KIPPster, Jasmine has served in multiple leadership roles, including Founding Teacher, Dean, Assistant Principal, Principal-in-Residence, and School Leader. She leads with both a high bar for excellence and a heart for equity, striving to create affirming environments where students and staff can thrive. Her leadership emphasizes visible accountability, teacher development, and strong systems that support joyful, rigorous, and values-driven learning.

Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Jasmine is a proud alumna of Prairie View A&M University and Houston Christian University. She is also the proud mother of a Little KIPPster, which fuels her personal commitment to ensuring that every child receives the same level of care, challenge, and opportunity she seeks for her own child.

At KIPP Peace Elementary, Jasmine’s vision is to strengthen instructional quality, cultivate a culture where every student and staff member feels a true sense of belonging, and ensure that equity is not only a belief but a lived reality in every classroom. With a love for literacy and an unwavering belief in every student’s brilliance, she is honored to lead KIPP Peace and to build on its legacy of excellence in partnership with families, staff, and the wider community.
