Teacher Quality System
At KIPP Texas, we know that great teaching is one of the strongest drivers of student success. The best way to support great teaching is through high-quality observation, coaching, and evaluation. When teachers receive clear, consistent feedback aligned to our instructional priorities, their practice grows and student learning follows. And when compensation reflects that growth, we’re able to keep our most effective teachers in front of students.
Teacher Incentive Allotment
The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) is a provision in Texas House Bill 3 that gives school districts the opportunity to identify the top 30% of classroom teachers state-wide as “recognized,” “exemplary,” and “master”. Individual teachers who earn the state designation will earn thousands of additional dollars annually. KIPP Texas will be designating its first group of teachers in spring 2023. More information can be found about TIA at www.tiatexas.org.
