Growing up with a passion for teaching, Terencia joined KIPP Austin College Prep in 2002 and was inspired by her teachers’ commitment to college readiness. Twelve years later, she graduated from Concordia University and returned to KIPP as a teacher. After six years at KIPP Austin Connections, teaching various elementary grades, she aspired to impact more students. In 2021, she became Assistant Principal of Instruction at KIPP Alegría Primary School and was promoted to school leader in her second year. Terencia values academic excellence, equity, joy, and high-quality education for all, believing that with high expectations and strong relationships, students, including her own children at KIPP Alegría, will always rise to the occasion.
