- Former Employee Service Records: It is KIPP Texas policy to prepare one original service record per employee. If KIPP Texas, or any of its regions has provided you with an original service record in the past, please contact the school district where you were most recently employed to obtain the original. Legislative Updates
Instructional Materials Review – Interim Process
In accordance with House Bill 1605 (88th Legislature), KIPP Texas ensures that parents and guardians may request or petition for a Local Classroom Review (LCR) of instructional materials.
- Requesting a Review – Parents may submit an individual request for review using the Instructional Materials Review Request Form. Forms may be submitted electronically or in writing to the campus principal. Requests must identify:
- Student’s grade level
- Subject area
- Campus and teacher (if known)
- Petition for Review – Parents representing at least 25% of students at a campus may petition the board for a review.
- If 25% to 49% petition, the Board must consider the review and may only deny it by majority vote.
- If 50% or more petition, the review must be conducted.
- Appeals – If a request or petition is denied, parents may appeal to the Board of KIPP Texas following published guidelines.
- Review Process –
- Reviews are conducted by certified reviewers for alignment with the adopted curriculum and grade-level rigor.
- The review window runs from September 1 through the last instructional day of the school year.
- Results & Transparency –
- Results of any review will be posted on this site within 10 school business days of receipt.
- All student and teacher identifiers will be redacted.
